festive flowers

red is my favorite color, and flowers are one of my favorite objects in nature. so, naturally, when the holidays roll around, i love seeing all of the big, beautiful red poinsettias everywhere. and, of course, my holiday line would not be complete without a few poinsettia designs. here are some samples, and also a sample of one of my favorite cards. it doesn't have poinsettias, but it does have flowers, just to prove that flowers are not just for spring! be sure to check out all of my other holiday designs at somethingaboutstationery.com.

patterns and plaids

i like using patterns and plaids in my layouts. i enjoy the way the shapes come together and repeat to create a cohsive, symmetrical design. patterns can be played up using contrasting or complementary colors, or kept simple by using a monochromatic palate. either way, patterns and plaids make a bold, yet elegant statement. here are a few of my latest holiday cards using patterns and plaids, and be sure to check out my entire line at somthingaboutstationery.com.
